Checklist to Maximize Referral Revenue

Sharing your Beacons referral link doesn’t just help other creators by giving them $20 towards a Beacons Pro plan (although it does do that! 🙌)

Helping other creators sign up and get money towards Beacons actually pays off for you, too. When you refer a new user who signs up for a Beacons Pro plan, you get a lifetime 25% commission on their subscription!

That means if you share your referral link strategically, you can actually create some passive income just from your referrals! And you can use that extra cash to treat yourself to a coffee, a trip to the movies, some donuts for a friend—whatever floats your boat.

Here’s how to make the most out of Beacons referrals and maximize your referral revenue!

Where to share

  • Add a referral link block on your link in bio

  • Include your referral link in an email broadcast or an automation, such as a post-purchase email to buyers

  • Add to your referral link to your email footer or signature

  • Create a story or highlight and include your referral link for your fans

  • Share your link individually with friends and family who could benefit from using Beacons

What to mention

  • Your unique referral link!

  • Your own genuine feelings on using Beacons - How do you use it? What do you like? What do you think would be helpful to other creators?

  • Let them know what they get with Beacons paid subscriptions (use: https://beacons.ai/i/plans)!

Here’s an additional checklist of everything you need to drive referrals and make passive income from your referral link. Below is everything you should include each time you share more about Beacons!

  • Your unique referral link - Don’t forget to add your referral link! This way, you get credit (and cash) for new paying users who you refer. You can track your progress and your money earned through your Referrals dashboard in Beacons. Sharing a unique link also makes your post more personal. Followers feel like they are helping you when they sign up, and they know they’re getting a special discount by engaging with your content.

  • A CTA - Have a clear call to action so your followers know exactly what to do with your link. Include just one CTA and make sure it’s crystal clear so people don’t get confused. Your CTA should ask your followers to click on your referral link and sign up for Beacons! An example of a strong CTA is: “Sign up for Beacons with my referral link below to get $20 towards a Beacons Pro subscription!”

  • Beacons core value props - Highlight the benefits of Beacons! You don’t need to make your content sound like an add, but by including 1-2 key benefits of Beacons in your own voice you’ll be able to communicate helpful advice to your followers, like all of your other content. Below are some Beacons benefits you can share.

    • Centralize your brand identity in one place and help promote everything to your followers in one personalized hub

    • Monetize your link in bio traffic with integrated Email and digital Store features

    • Ditch your other tools and find everything you need to grow your creator business in one place—link in bio to direct traffic, email to promote, store to sell digital products, media kit to pitch to bands, and more

  • A personal example of how you’ve used Beacons and why you love it - Your followers want to hear your own unique opinions! You should make your post as personal as possible. You can even tell a story of how you used Beacons to concretely level up a specific part of your business. (For example, you could talk about how you started making new income by selling products through your Beacons Link in Bio.)

  • An image of your own Beacons page - A picture is worth a thousand words! To help your followers visualize what Beacons is and what value they can get out of it, share a photo of your own Beacons page. Highlight your favorite parts and talk through how you have built and continued to improve it. You’ll give them a ton of inspo!
