What is the Affiliate share feature?
The affiliate share feature lets Beacon's users create affiliate links for their digital products that other Beacon's creators can sell in their own stores. Creators can offer any commission amount through affiliate links. Creators can also offer different affiliate percentage splits for the same product.
Product Owner - Non-Pro Subscriber
The table below is an example of what an affiliate payout could look like for a creator on Beacons, who is not subscribed to a pro plan that includes 0% platform fees.

Definitions:
Product Owner: The person who created the original product and sets the affiliate commission % split.
Original product price: $10
Payment Processor Fees: $0.60
3% * $10 = $0.30 + $0.30 fixed fee. For illustrative purposes using a 3% + $0.30 payment fee. For complete PayPal fees, see here. For Stripe fees, see here. These are calculated based on the original product price.
Affiliate Payout: This is the commission percentage set by the product's original seller.
Beacons Fee: 9% * $8 = $0.72. The Beacon's platform fee is taken out after the affiliate commission. For further details about Beacons store fees, see here.
Total Revenue Received: This is the total amount of money you can expect to receive in your payment processor account.

Stripe Affiliate Commission
In your Stripe dashboard, the affiliate commission and payment processor fee will show up as a combined total. But if you hover over Fee, you will see:
Beacons Application Fee = Affiliate commission paid out to reseller

PayPal Affiliate Commission
In your PayPal dashboard, the affiliate commission will appear as a Partner Fee, which is the amount of the sale that was paid out to the affiliate reseller.
